Logo for the LBGTQ+ Equity Fund's Support for Schools program

Open to active and established GSA clubs/organizations at Miami Dade County Public Schools (MDCPS) middle schools, high schools, and invite-only colleges/universities serving LGBTQ+ students in Miami-Dade County. Clubs and organizations must adhere to general school policies and state laws where applicable.

The Fund’s goal is to be responsive to the ever-evolving issues that impact the prosperity and health of the LGBTQ community in South Florida. We recently awarded $300,000 in general operating support grants to 12 organizations working at the intersection of the areas of highest need in support of our local LGBTQ+ communities. The recipients are leaders in working to expand safe spaces for LGBTQ+ youth, ensure continuous access to gender affirming care for trans individuals, and help amplify the voice and power of the LGBTQ+ community.

As part of the LGBTQ+ Equity Fund, the Support for Schools initiative supports GSA clubs and LGBTQ+ student resource centers in public middle schools, high schools, and institutes of higher education serving LBGTQ+ students in Miami-Dade County for use during the 2023-2024 school year.
